Choose the feeder and measure the pole first. These parts solve different installation jobs.
For an existing compatible pole

Keep in mind: Mount it about four to five feet above ground as the maker directs.

Measure before mixing parts
Outside pole diameter, thread or adapter type, bracket, loaded feeder weight and mounting surface are separate checks. A seller’s “universal” label should not replace the supported dimensions or load rating for the exact parts.
Include the weight of food, water and accessories. If the manufacturer has not provided a useful load or fit limit, ask the maker or follow a complete system. This checklist cannot certify a structural installation.
Count included and owned parts once
A bundle may already include a hanger, pole adapter or solar panel. Keep the inclusion visible on your shopping list and avoid adding the same part twice. Recheck fit if you change the feeder or move to another mounting surface.
A baffle needs its own diameter and placement check. Clear the feeder from footholds and inspect access routes that let an animal bypass the pole.
