Three measurements make a useful entry
Record the package price, package net weight and actual amount added. Keep the refill date so you can see the time between your own observations. Optional measured waste is a separate observation, not an assumed percentage.
A hopper’s advertised liters or quarts cannot be converted into seed weight without a measurement. Different foods and mixes pack differently, so capacity alone cannot establish a cost per refill.
Old refills keep their old cost
Each logged refill retains the package price and weight you entered for it. Changing to a new bag does not rewrite the earlier entries. Totals show how many observations are complete and how many still lack a date or measurement.
The log stays in this browser when you save it. Public comparison links and analytics exclude refill amounts, dates and history. You can choose to include private history in a local backup from My setup.
